martha s,
hello poetry
my middle name is rose is exactly what the first page states - a work of art written from the heart. the inner workings of a young woman's mind, dealing with the highs & lows of that comes with teenage life are converyed beautifully through each line & stanza & chapter. i am really impressed with sydeny rose salomon's first published piece & cannot wait to see her other works !!
matthew verde,

kristen brewer,
my middle name is rose
despite all the negative talk about the state of poetry in america, it is actually not that uncommon to find young people who love poetry. however, it is uncommon to find young poets with the heart and determination to offer their work to the world. this book--this poet inspires me with great hope for the future.
2014 pulitzer prize-winning poet for 'digest' - gregory pardlo,
my middle name is rose is a beautiful & bittersweet
compilation of poems that bring up memories of unrequited love & long forgotten crushes & our hopes for finally receiving the love we deserve.
